PGA TOUR Latinoamérica member in 2013-2014.
2014: A T17 finish at the 83rd Abierto OSDE del Centro in Cordoba, Argentina has been his best of two top-25 finishes on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica… Missed the cut at the BMW Charity Pro-Am in his only start of the season on the Web.com Tour (sponsor exemption).
2013: Finished the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season ranked No. 40 in the Order of Merit. Had one top-10 finish, four top-25 finishes and 7 cuts made in 13 starts. His best finish was T3 at the 66th Arturo Calle Colombian Open in Bogota, Colombia at the beginning of November. Birdied five of the last eight holes on his way to a 7-under par 64 on the third round and a three-stroke lead heading into the final round. That round of 64 was his lowest of the season by two strokes. Lost his good pace on Sunday, carding five bogeys and only one birdie to post a 75 and finish three strokes off the lead. Earned his PGA TOUR Latinoamérica card by finishing T3 at the Qualifying Tournament held at the Sun N’ Lake Golf Club in Sebring, Florida in February.
2012: Turned pro halfway through the year… Made one Web.com Tour start in July, missing the cut at the Utah Championship… Won his first tournament on the eGolf Tour in September. That win coming at the Cabarrus Classic, a 54-hole event in which he shot 67, 68 and 65 to finish at 14-under par 202 at the Cabarrus Country Club Course in Concord, NC.
AMATEUR CAREER: In July of 2011 he became the first qualifying medalist to win the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship in 11 years, holing a 5-foot par putt on the 37th hole to defeat UNLV's Derek Ernst on Bandon Dunes’ Old Macdonald course… A week after winning the U.S. Public Links he also won the Players Amateur… His U.S. Public Links win earned him a spot on the 2012 Masters Tournament, where he missed the cut with rounds of 74 and 81… As winner of the Players Amateur he received an exemption for the 2012 RBC Heritage on the PGA TOUR, where he missed the cut by one shot… A member of the golf team at Clemson University, where he won one tournament and was named second team All-American and Ping All-American.
PERSONAL: Full name is Corbin Kaminer Mills… Single… His parents, Stoney and Kristi Mills, were missionaries in Russia and Italy when he was growing up... Family returned to the United States for his freshman year or high school at Wren High School… Attended Clemson University, but turned pro before graduating… Jackie Seawall and Danny Stewart have been his golf instructors… Says his biggest thrill outside of golf is shooting sporting clays… Augusta National, where he played the 2012 Masters Tournament, is the golf course he has enjoyed the most… Italian food is his favorite… “American Sniper” is his favorite book… Charleston, South Carolina is his favorite city to visit… His grandfather, his father and Phil Madsen would round out his dream foursome… Favorite quote: “A goal without a plan is a wish!”… His preferred charity is the Miracle Hill Children' Home.
