Third round suspended at Sebring
Sebring FL (February 14, 2013)—On this Saint Valentine’s day Mother Nature showed little love to the Sebring area after dropping a little less than an inch of rain over Sun N’ Lake Golf Club. The course was deemed unplayable due to standing water and suspended the third round.
Play was suspended at 3:50 pm with Krister Eriksson and Jhared Hack tied for the lead through six holes. The trying conditions caused the leaders some problems early on with bogeys for both players on their first holes, the par four 10th.
Of the players who completed their third rounds, American J.T. Griffin had the round of the day with a 65 in very difficult conditions. He put himself one stroke outside of the current magic number of one over par which earns PGA TOUR Latinoamérica membership for the 2013 season.
Play will resume tomorrow at 7:30 am with players in position. The fourth and final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am.
