Jhared Hack wins final Qualifying Tournament by four
Sebring, FL (February 16)—The fog lifted over Sun N’Lake Golf Club around 9 am allowing players to go out and claim their spot on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica’s 2013 season. American Jhared Hack took medalist honors with a final round 69, securing a four shot win over Mark Baker. “It was nice to finish up strong this morning, when it takes an extra day to finish you can start overthinking things but I had a big enough cushion but winning feels nice”said Hack who plays out of the Legacy Club outside of Orlando, Florida.
Hack says it’s nice to be able to plan for a full schedule and plans on starting his season in Mexico City at the 55 Abierto Mexicano de Golf.
Ireland’s Mark Murphy who competed on Golf Channel’s Big Break Greenbrier edition, shot a final round 68 to move into the top-five at the Q-school.
Top 20…Nine countries are represented among the top 20 players earning their card today.
Round of the day…Julian Etulain’s final round 65 tied for low round of the tournament, a strong finish for a player who barely missed earning his card after playing a full season on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica’s inaugural season.
Final Word: No honks, but the assembled carts of Sun N’Lake’s membership cheered heartily for the last four groups as they secured their cards for Latinoamérica.
