American trio share opening round lead at Doral
Miami, Florida (August 1, 2012) – Tyler Kitson, Byron Smith and Justin Bates of the United States share the lead at the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica’s Final Qualifying Tournament. The opening round, which was suspended due to darkness on Tuesday, was completed around 10:20 a.m. this morning with the co-leading trio tied at 4-under par 68 at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa’s Great White Course.
Philippe Gasnier of Brazil, the man who shot 6-under par 31 on the back nine yesterday afternoon, was unable to keep his strong pace and the outright lead this morning.
