OHL-Round of the Week

The player with the lowest score of the week will receive $1000 prize

Starting in the second half of the 2013 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, players will be playing for the OHL- Round of the Week which will be awarded to the player who shoots the lowest round at each PGA TOUR Latinoamérica event. The player with the lowest score will receive a $1,000 prize courtesy of OHL.

In the event that two or more players tie for the lowest scoring round, the tie-breaker will be determined by the overall tournament standing of the players.

Based in Madrid, OHL is one of the world’s largest construction and concessions groups with more than 23,000 employees and an impressive average yearly growth rate of 20% since 2002. In the year 2012, its net sales amounted to more than 5 billion Euros. At the same time, OHL is strongly committed to environmental responsibility and in 2003 produced its first Sustainable Development Report.

As Juan-Miguel Villar Mir, the chairman of the Board of Directors and the author of the report, noted, mindful attention to the long-term health of the environment creates a "virtuous circle" that benefits the company, its clients and the globe. OHL's ecological diligence has served it well in Latin America, where strong government regulations are enforced in many countries to protect the environment. OHL has built highways, bridges, hotels and hospitals throughout the region including a heavy presence in Mexico—home of the Mayakoba Resort.

The tourism complex at Mayakoba, which will eventually include two golf courses and five luxury hotels, is OHL's most ambitious hospitality project to date.  Mayakoba started as a vision; a dream inspired by its blue skies and its emerald beauty defining a ‘unique’ destination in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. A team of talented biologists, architects and designers surrounded by freshwater lagoons persisted in the preservation of the flora and fauna throughout the Mayakoba resort; and succeeded.

Six miles of freshwater canals surrounded by exotic mangroves and birds connect three enchanting hotels; Banyan Tree, Rosewood, Fairmont and a spectacular 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course all situated alongside the shores of Mexico’s Caribbean coastline. Guests are peacefully transported in boats through the resort contemplating a revolutionary vision of beauty and harmony.  For more information, visit Mayakoba.
