Rafael Becker wins Brazil Developmental Series event
The Brazilian conquered the CBG Pro Tour Porto Alegre after beating Argentine Mauricio Molina in playoff
Porto Alegre, Brazil, August 25, 2014.- Rafael Becker, one of the most promising Brazilian talents, won the CBG Pro Tour at the Porto Alegre Country Club, which is part of the Developmental Series calendar.
The young player born in São Paulo beat Argentine Mauricio Molina on the second playoff hole after tying at 8-under par. Becker had rounds of 67, 69 and 66 for his first title in his home country.
The tournament was exciting and the drama hit a high point when Molina holed a long putt on the 18th hole to reach the playoff. The two players tied with birdie on the first playoff hole, but on the next hole, Becker made a birdie to win the title.

In third place was Brazilian Daniel Stapff, who finished six strokes behind the winner.
These players have already secured their place in the Developmental Series Final to be played in Ecuador from Jan. 12-18, 2015. Those players who finish in the top 5 in this tournament will gain full status for the 2015 season of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. Those that finish from 6 ° to 10 ° will have status for the first half of the season and then enter the reorder at the middle of the year.
