Rio Hato, Panama ( May 26, 2014 ) -. A fantastic round 64 , 8- under par allowed the Argentine Emilio "Puma" Dominguez to win the OHL - Round of the week award that is at stake in each event, for the player who has the best score of the tournament.
The 28 years old, born in the province of San Luis , signed the best card at the Lexus Panama Classic on Saturday after a round in which he was inspired.
He started with a par in the first hole and then he made five birdies in a row to put him in contention for the tournament. The birdie on hole -9 allowed him to close his round with 30 strokes . He scored two pars on 10 and 11 and he birdied again 12, 13 and 14. With nine birdies in 14 holes he took the lead of the tournament early on the day, but was unable to birdie the par-5 16th hole and finished with a bogey on the 18th.
" I found many consecutive birdies and tried to stay calm because I knew it would be a good day and I felt very comfortable . It was a very good round but I closed with a bogey ( on the 18th ) which gave me a bittersweet taste at the end of the round" said Dominguez that finally finished in 3rd place in the tournament , closing with three rounds of 70 and the course record 64.
