The Argentine carded a 61, 10-under par on Saturday, that put him in the fight for the Trans American Power Products CRV Open, that was played in Las Lomas Golf Club.
This was his best round in his three years on the NEC Series PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. After failing to birdie his second hole from close range, he told his caddie that it could be a great round. So the 47 year old player, born in Río Cuarto, Córdoba began a streak of six consecutive birdies from hole 3 to 8, to shoot 29 in the first nine. Then he could not take advantage of the par-5 11th and made pars from 9 to 15.
However, at the end, Molina made birdies at 16 and 17 and with an eagle at 18 he is the owner of the new course record at Las Lomas Golf Club. "Today the ball went in but I hit great shots as well. Last year I have been playing well but without having good results, so I hope this could be the start of a good one, "said the winner of the $ 1,000 that gives OHL to the player that has the best round of the week.
